Current Board Members

ALEX LIU — PRESIDENT

Alex is a coterm in Management Science and Engineering and majored in Economics as an undergrad. He grew up in China and has studied abroad in both Japan and Italy. He has interned in Morgan Stanley Technology Investment Banking in Hong Kong, and Morgan Stanley Industrials ECM in New York this past summer. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, exploring different cuisines, swimming, and karaoke with friends.

ELLEN WANG — PRESIDENT

Ellen is a senior majoring in Economics and concurrently pursuing a masters in Management Science & Engineering. She is originally from Boston and the past summer, she interned on D.E. Shaw's Fundamental Equities Team, where she will return full-time after graduation. She enjoys competing for Stanford's Varsity Fencing Team, eating ice cream, and snorkeling.

CONSTANÇA CADETE — CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Constança is a junior majoring in Economics with minors in Data Science and Political Science. She is originally from Lisbon and previously interned in private equity at JC Flowers in London. This past summer, she interned at McKinsey in their New York office, and she will intern at Goldman Sachs in Financial Services (FIG) Investment Banking next summer. In her free time, she enjoys running, trying new restaurants, and traveling.

KATHERINE JESTER — VICE PRESIDENT, RECRUITING

Katherine is a junior studying Design Engineering. She grew up in Manhattan Beach and is currently working at Valar Atomics in Torrance. She has interned at Palm Tree, DelMorgan, and Coral Tree Partners, and will be joining Qatalyst as a summer intern in 2027. Outside of work, Katherine enjoys practicing and teaching hot yoga, trying new restaurants, and going to the beach.

DEAN KIM — VICE PRESIDENT, RECRUITING

Dean is a senior majoring in Economics and concurrently pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science. He is originally from Korea and completed his military service in the Republic of Korea Army. He has experience working at public and private equity funds. This past summer, he interned at Klema Capital in New York. Outside of school, he enjoys playing soccer, going to the gym, traveling, and listening to EDM.

GEORGE ZHANG — VICE PRESIDENT, RECRUITING

George is a junior studying Economics. He spent this past summer as an investor at HOF Capital's growth stage investment team and will join Qatalyst next summer as an investment banking summer analyst. George also enjoys Robin Williams movies, cheering on the Eagles, traveling with his Sony A7iii, and is always down to grab a coffee at Coupa.

FELIPE BARBOSA — VICE PRESIDENT, CORPORATE OUTREACH

Felipe is a junior at Stanford majoring in Computer Science. He grew up in Brazil and previously interned at Atmos Capital in Rio de Janeiro, where he focused on public equities. This past summer, he interned as a Quantitative Researcher at Millennium in New York, working on a Fixed Income team focused on interest-rate derivatives. Outside of work, Felipe enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and spending time outdoors.

WILL HESP — VICE PRESIDENT, CORPORATE OUTREACH

Will is a junior studying Economics (major) and Japanese. He is originally from the Boston area where he attended the Noble and Greenough school. This past summer, he interned at a multi-strategy hedge fund in Tokyo, and next summer, he will be interning in investment banking at Moelis & Company in New York. He enjoys watching and playing sports, going out with friends, listening to music, and trying new restaurants.

FAITH WANG — VICE PRESIDENT, CORPORATE OUTREACH

Faith is a junior majoring in Economics and minoring in Philosophy. She is originally from Dallas, Texas, and worked at a startup in New York this past summer. Next summer, she will be working as an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs on their TMT team. In her free time, she enjoys digital and film photography, traveling, and watching the sunset with her friends.

GRACE LI — VICE PRESIDENT, PROGRAMMING

Grace is a senior majoring in Economics. She grew up between Hong Kong and London and studied abroad in Oxford. This past summer, she interned on the Moelis tech team in SF and previously interned in Mumbai. In her free time, she enjoys thrifting, travelling, eating, and dancing.

SOPHIA LI — VICE PRESIDENT, PROGRAMMING

Sophia is a junior majoring in Economics from Dallas. She will be joining Qatalyst Partners as an investment banking analyst, and previously interned on Stephens’ Tech M&A team and at Bregal Sagemount. Outside of work, she loves watching dystopian films, writing on her Substack, and attending concerts with friends.

WALKER COLEY — VICE PRESIDENT, COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND SOCIAL

Walker is a sophomore at Stanford studying Economics and Public Policy. Originally from North Carolina, he previously interned in private equity at Falfurrias Capital Partners. At Stanford, he works as a research assistant at the Hoover Institution and the Stanford Initiative for Financial Decision-Making (IFDM). On campus, he serves as a Finance Officer for ASES and Social Chair of Sigma Nu. Outside of academics and work, he enjoys golfing, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with friends.

KATHRYNE HONG — VICE PRESIDENT, COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND SOCIAL

Kathryne is a sophomore majoring in Economics and Computer Science who grew up between Shanghai and North Carolina. She has experience in investment banking and private equity. This past summer, Kathryne interned on the healthcare team at Bentley Associates and subsequently at a technology boutique investment bank. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, listening to podcasts, urban cycling, and café-hopping.

ROBERT WANG — VICE PRESIDENT, ALUMNI AND MENTORING

Robert is a sophomore studying Economics and Computer Science. He grew up in Hong Kong but now splits his time between peaceful Greenwich, CT and sunny Miami Beach, FL. This past summer, he interned at a real estate private equity firm on the opportunistic equity team. A former US national fencing team member, Robert is also a serious golfer, avid reader, and a frequent world traveler with his family. He spends his free time cheering on Ferrari, learning how to DJ, and being bothered by his two British Shorthairs Harvey and Stanley, whom he loves more than anything.
